Aston Martin has unveiled the production specification of its landmark Valhalla supercar, marking a transformative moment in the marque's 111-year history. This mid-engine masterpiece combines Formula 1-derived technology with a powerful hybrid powertrain, delivering an astounding 1,063 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque.


The Valhalla represents multiple firsts for Aston Martin: the first series production mid-engine supercar, the first plug-in hybrid, and the first model to feature dedicated electric range capability. At its core lies a bespoke twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 817 horsepower, complemented by three electric motors contributing an additional 246 horsepower.


Revolutionary Hybrid Performance


The Valhalla's sophisticated powertrain combines track-focused performance with remarkable efficiency. The flat-plane crank V8 engine works in harmony with twin front-axle electric motors and an integrated transmission motor, enabling various driving modes from pure electric to full hybrid performance. In electric mode, the Valhalla can travel up to 8.7 miles with a speed limit of 80 mph, while the performance-focused Race mode unleashes the full system output for a 0-62 mph sprint in just 2.5 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 217 mph.

Working directly with Aston Martin Performance Technologies, the Valhalla incorporates advanced active aerodynamics that generate more than 1,322 pounds of downforce at 149 mph. This innovative system maintains consistent downforce up to the vehicle's maximum speed through automatically adjusting front and rear aerodynamic elements. The active rear wing can deploy as an air brake, while the concealed front wing manages airflow for optimal performance in every driving scenario.


Advanced Chassis Technology


Built around a bespoke carbon fibre tub, the Valhalla achieves a remarkable dry weight of 3,649 pounds. The sophisticated chassis features Formula 1-style push-rod front suspension and an advanced five-link rear setup, complemented by adaptive dampers. Carbon ceramic brakes measuring 410mm at the front and 390mm at the rear ensure exceptional stopping power, enhanced by regenerative braking capability.
