Aston Martin partners with Bowmore to create a prestigious whisky
In April 2025, Aston Martin and the Scottish distillery Bowmore unveiled the fruit of their collaboration: Bowmore ARC-54. This rare and refined creation marks the second and final edition of the ARC series, born from the union of luxury automotive engineering expertise and the ancestral know-how of whisky making. Together, these two iconic brands have given life to an exceptional product: a single malt aged for 54 years, presented in a hand-blown bottle inspired by the avant-garde design of the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar.
An exceptional whisky, 54 years of history
Distilled in November 1968, Bowmore ARC-54 is a tribute to time and patience. This whisky matured for over five decades in a European oak sherry cask and an American oak cask, stored in the distillery's famous No. 1 Vaults. The final blend, carefully balanced according to the golden ratio principle (61.8% European oak and 38.2% American oak), rested for an additional 15 months to achieve a remarkable aromatic complexity. Each sip offers notes of citrus, delicate florals, salted caramel, spicy ginger, cinnamon, and a subtle smoky touch characteristic of Islay whiskies.
A bottle inspired by aerodynamics
The Bowmore ARC-54 decanter is not just a bottle, but a work of art in its own right. Handcrafted, each decanter is inspired by the aerodynamic lines of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, particularly the venturi tunnels that maximize the car's downforce. This fluid design evokes both automotive performance and the natural forms of the Isle of Islay, home of the Bowmore distillery. The finely crafted glass reflects the movement of the whisky and reflects the shared philosophy of both brands: precision, aesthetics, and artisanal excellence.
A collaboration under the sign of creativity
For Bowmore and Aston Martin, this creation represents much more than a luxury product. According to Dr. Calum Fraser, Master Blender at Bowmore, this whisky illustrates the distillery's unique ability to age its spirits elegantly, allowing time to do its work. For his part, Marek Reichman, Head of Design at Aston Martin, highlights the innovative approach that brings the world of automobiles and spirits closer together: the work on the decanter's shape reflects the same principles of fluidity applied to the brand's most high-performance cars. An exceptional limited edition
The Bowmore ARC-54 will be produced in a limited edition of only 130 worldwide, making each decanter a rare and coveted piece. More than a whisky, it's a complete sensory experience, the result of a bold collaboration between two distinct worlds united by a passion for detail and exceptionality. Available from April 3, 2025, at select specialty retailers, the price of this masterpiece is available upon request.
