Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger Continuation series is a Bond fan’s dream come true
The Aston Martin Continuation series brings back to life some of the British automaker’s most beautiful and stunning models, and the Aston Martin DB5 is certainly part of that group. Aston Martin’s Continuation program has built new editions of the DB4 and DB5, but the DB5 Goldfinger is perhaps its most impressive creation. It is a dream come true for Bond fans.
The third Continuation model has been built just in time for the 25th installment of the James Bond franchise, No Time To Die which launches next month. It is essentially a perfect replica of the DB5 Sean Connery drove in the 1964 movie Goldfinger, all the way down to the Browning machine guns and the rotating license plate.
There’s also the bullet-resistant shield that raises out of the back to protect the rear window, and a smoke and oil dispenser located in the back to fight off enemies on your tail.
Of course, all of this makes the Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger Continuation illegal on public roads. It’s designed to be enjoyed on a closed course or private road. Only 25 will be built and die-hard James Bond fans can order theirs for a cool $3.6 million.
