2020 Aston Martin DBX vs 2020 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
The 2020 DBX is Aston Martin’s very first SUV. Designers inject pure Aston Martin DNA into a new platform that has gained the attention of the auto world. It shares in the Aston Martin tradition of comfort, luxury, and performance. The DBX strives nothing but to be the best performance SUV, and it fearlessly goes after a top competitor—the Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
The 2020 Aston Martin DBX’s specification is speed
The DBX’s lightweight aluminum construction combines with a top powertrain to deliver inspiring performance. The twincharged V8 engine from the DB11 and Vantage that develops 550 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque is used under the hood of the DBX. This places the DBX’s top speed at 291 km/h, compared to 286 km/h with the Cayenne Turbo. Aston Martin harnesses the power of the DBX into an exhilarating driving experience.
The DBX also features a nine-speed automatic transmission with optimum shifting and acceleration. The Cayenne Turbo only has an eight speed gearbox. Six adaptive drive modes (four on-road, two off-road) present several options to suit your driving mood in the DBX. The Cayenne Turbo only offers three driving modes.
The DBX’s power is managed by an electronic active transfer case and sent to a one-piece carbon fibre propeller shaft and electronic rear limited-slip differential. The Cayenne Turbo uses a conventional style driveshaft that is heavier. Specially designed 22" wheels handle everything the motor and drivetrain deliver, but the Cayenne reduces its standard wheel size to 19".
The 2020 Aston Martin has a more robust list of standard equipment
Aside from its power and driving experience, the DBX’s lengthy list of standard equipment makes a purchasing decision simpler. It features the height adjustable air suspension combined with the 48v electric anti-roll control system (eARC) that provides unparalleled handling capabilities.
The Cayenne Turbo makes the purchasing process more complex by stepping buyers through an extensive list of options. However, the DBX keeps these complexities to a minimum by maximizing equipment in its standard specification.
The DBX also highlights: full grain leather interior trim; Alcantara headlining and a panoramic roof blind; piano black wood veneer trim; brightware; premium 12.3” TFT driver information display; 10.25” TFT central display; an 800-watt, 14-speaker sound system and more.
